The type of personal information we collect

We currently collect and process the following information:

  • Name
  • Addresses
  • Email addresses
  • Contact phone number

How we get personal information and why we have it

Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for the following reasons: to allow us to process and ship your orders, to maintain a record of purchase for the purpose of longer-term guarantees, to give you access to your customer account, and to maintain communications you have opted into. We may share this information with our shipping partners to allow us to ship your purchases to you.

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:
(a) Your consent. You are able to remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting us at https://www.silverwoodgaming.com/contact/ and specifying what data you wish us to delete.
(b) We have a contractual obligation, i.e. we cannot delete the data of an ongoing order as we would be unable to ship or refund that order with no record of sale. Once your order is completed, we are able to delete your data from your order record.

We collect information from forms completed either through the shopping cart and checkout, by creating an account on our website, or by signing up to the mailing list. We do this to send you information as requested by joining our mailing list and to process your orders and maintain a record for warranty purposes.

We do not sell your data, nor should any client, application, or partnership that we use. We may pass your information on to a third party in order to facilitate shipping (e.g. tracked delivery partners should email you directly).

We rely on the information you complete on our website, either as a guest user or with an account, to be able to process and ship your orders. If you withdraw consent for us to hold your data while this process is ongoing then we will be unable to complete your orders; however, we can hold your information until any orders are complete and then delete your information if you prefer.

How we store your personal information

Your information is securely stored on our server. We keep your name and contact information for around 36 months from the date of your last purchase (or earlier at your request). We will then dispose your information by removing your data from our database. This will remove records for your warranty although may not void it (as general rule, get in touch if you have an issue with any of our products).

For users on our mailing list, data is stored on a secure server. You can opt out of the mailing list at any time, and request your data be deleted. We will not set a time limit on holding your data for our mailing list as we assume you are still finding our emails useful. We use Brevo to manage our mailing system. If you want to ensure your data has been deleted, please contact Brevo directly. To understand their data and privacy policy, please see their privacy statement here: brevo.com/legal/privacypolicy/
