FAQs

About the products

What is a Heritage?

A Heritage is a theme that our products have so that players can represent their character choices physically. They’re a way of making a statement about who they are and who they are playing as.

When do you release new Heritages / woods / products?

Our plan, as Silverwood grows, is to release new Heritages and products as we work through the design process. When we release a new wood, we may release all our products in that wood or bring them in slowly across the range. We’ll advertise these ahead of time so you should know what to expect to make the right choice for you.

Which Heritage should I choose?

That completely depends on you! You can choose a Heritage that reflects your own ideals, that of your character, deck or army, or just because they look cool. As we grow we will add more and more Heritages so that you can customise further.

Which is the best wood to choose?

Again, this is entirely dependent on your preference for colour, grain, weight, etc. Another top tip is to research different wood grains, as our product photos tend to only be one product, but Ash on one Dice Tray might look completely different to another, so it’s a good idea to get an understanding of the variance on different woods.

Is it ok to roll sharp or metallic dice in my Dice Tray or Tower?

When you buy real leather and real wood products you accept that they will age and develop character. Using sharp and heavy dice will accelerate this process quicker than lighter, softer-edge dice. However, this should not affect the way the product works and instead be purely aesthetic. So if you want to keep your purchase looking pristine for longer then you’d be better off not using sharp/ heavy dice, otherwise you should not have any major issues.

As for the lifespan of the dice, we can’t guarantee that fragile or brittle dice won’t be affected but if you feel they’re safe to roll on a normal table then they should be safe with our products.

Why do you use natural leather for your liners?

We chose to use cow leather over faux leather, felt, etc. because we felt it was the most sustainable option for us to use. Rather than using plastic-based products, we went with a supplier that can reliably provide ethically sourced leather.
